Hello, I’ve just found your blog, some quite interesting content!
I passed my RHCE exam in 2002 I think, I’d have to check the certificate
It was more than 8 hours, 3 parts (2x 3hrs hands-on and 1x 1hr test) with half an hour pause in between, quite a workout
Is it still the same or have they changed it?
The scoring was different though, had to get over 90% average with no score under 70%. I had 92% or so. Was quite happy, not really using RH on a daily basis but had to take the exam because work required it.
The RHEL5 layout as I took it a few weeks ago was a 4.5 hour exam split into two groups of tasks for RHCT and RHCE.
It’s just changed again with the release of RHEL6 though – I was informed after booking my RHEL5 resit, that the RHEL5 exam is now no longer available, and the exam setup has been broken down into two totally separate entities, and the name RHCT has been changed to RHCSA.
